How to Manually Reset the DSC Security System for Daylight Savings
GenX Security Solutions would like to send a courtesy reminder to all our residential customers with a DSC security system to manually reset the time on daylight savings day! Here's how:
If your system looks like the images above, you will need to change your time of day manually for daylight savings, both in the fall and in the spring.
Step 1: Press the * button followed by 6
Step 2: Enter your system’s master code.
Please note that if you are and FMC customer and do not know your system’s master code, call FMC’s Service Department. If you are not an FMC customer, please contact the security company who is servicing your DSC security system.
Step 3: Press 1 to select "Time and Date Programming"
Step 4: If you have a Full Message LCD Keypad (PK5500), use the < or > keys to scroll to the menu option and press *
Step 5: Using the number keys, enter the time (in HH:MM format) and date (in MM:DD:YY format)
Step 6: Press the # Key to exit programming
