THE PROJECT

Easley Combined Utilities is a municipality owned commission of public works which provides reliable water, wastewater, and electrical services to the residents of Easley, South Carolina and surrounding areas of Pickens County.

CLIENT GOALS

With multiple building locations including its headquarters office, providing power and water, Easley Combined Utilities needed to secure and monitor all locations with live-viewing and audit tracking capabilities of all comings and goings, especially since the stations are spread out miles apart.

SERVICES DELIVERED

• Designed a plan which focused on infrastructure (wiring), network, camera placement, mag locks, strikes, and request to exit devices.

• Procured, received, staged, and installed equipment.

• Tested all equipment and network.

• Installed software on customer IT systems and phone apps.

• On-site client staff training on equipment and use.

TECHNOLOGY UTILIZED

Hikvision Cameras and S2 Security Access Control provided user-friendly application and clients with seamless integration together to provide Easley Combined Utilities with one interface.

PROJECT RESULTS

GenX Security successfully linked over the existing fiber network of 15 individual sites to transmit back to headquarters over a local network. This included piping through a wastewater treatment plant, water treatment plant, generator facilities, multiple electric sub-stations, Operations Center, and administration building. Through the integration of control gates and doors with newly installed cameras, Easley Combined Utilities can now see cameras live and recorded within the same platform (user interface). Now at Easley Combined Utilities, if even a door is propped open 10 miles away from headquarters they are notified in real time!
